Certification International (CI) Governing Board recently approved RI Chem’s continued certification of its Quality Management System (QMS) to ISO 9001:2000.
The certification was based on the results of the third surveillance audit if the company’s QMS on October 30, 2008 and the corrective action on the single non-conformity that was raised at that audit.
Renato Navarette, managing director of Certification International, sent a letter to Mr. Meneleo Carlos, Jr on November 26, 2008 confirming the certification.
The audit found the company’s QMS maintained in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000. It reported the strengths of the company’s QMS and the activities that have been initiated by the different departments to meet their quality objectives and to ensure external and internal customer satisfaction.
In that letter, Certification International encouraged the management team to consider the opportunities that were discussed during the audit. Appropriate actions on these opportunities, the CI said, would improve the effectiveness of RI Chem’s QMS as a tool for continual improvements and as a guide for meeting organizational performance objectives.
